Warded to Lavender:
Thanks, again, for coming with me last night. It meant a lot.
And it's always nice to walk into a room where you know everyone'll be staring at you because you're sort of the star, and you have a pretty woman on your arm, and then they're all staring at her instead... let me tell you, such a relief. Warded to Charity:
I sorted it out. With Lavender, that is. Just thought you might like to know.
Life is good.

Warded Private:
Well, it has been several weeks since Lavender told me about - I don't even know what to call it. Her scars? The permanent injury caused by a werewolf? While I'm glad she trusted me enough to tell me, I'm not exactly sure where to go from here. I am (quite obviously, in my opinion) still interested in getting to know her and in dating her, but I'm not sure what her mindset is. I've heard that with some things like this, maybe not her specific situation but others where there's some sort of injury or disability or what have you, the other person doesn't feel worthy - ends up sabotaging the relationship before it even gets started. I don't want that to happen here, but it's not up to me. All I can do is just be patient and hope for the best because I really like her.
And we're into the final stretch. Two weeks to go before the release party on August 8th. I don't think I'm going to get a chance to breathe until the 9th, but then I plan to take a full week off to catch up on sleep. I haven't decided if I want to go anywhere for it. Maybe pack up the car, take the dogs and go camping down in Cornwall. Any thoughts?

[June 19] |
Woke up with really bad hangover this morning. But if mine was bad, I can't even imagine Ethan's. Had no idea that people everywhere love buying grooms (and probably brides?) drinks, even people who don't know him. Thank God for magic. I feel really bad for some of the other blokes, because they're Muggles (our cousins) and they don't have very handy potions to take care of the headaches and dehydration and liver damage.
Still feeling a bit woozy, though, which is not good because I'm supposed to be testing a broom out this afternoon.
My brother's getting married tomorrow. And I still need to write a toast.
Warded Private:
I'm thirty and my younger brother is getting married before me.

Warded to Charity & Roger:
A few days late, but here's an update: the date went really well (at least in my opinion), thanks for all your help, and hey, I'm not completely hopeless. In fact, I'm asking her out again and I don't even need your help this time.
Warded to Lavender:
What do your plans for this weekend look like? Or next week? Sorry for the last minute thing. I intended to ask earlier this week, but we got swamped at work. Something went wrong with this new update to the broom we're putting out, and I had to do some overtime to figure out what the hell happened. Anyway, I took care of it and now I'm wondering if you want to do something again?

Warded to Roger, Nate and Charity:
Sorry this is a few days late.
Ran into Lavender (literally) at her party. She said I'm cute. Now what?

this is a promise with a catch / only if you're looking can it find you / 'cause true love is searching too / but how can it recognize you / unless you step out into the light? / don't be sad, I know you will / but don't give up until / ( true love finds you in the end. )
